My most pressing need is for faithful intercessors to lift up me and this ministry in prayer. I will regularly post prayer requests here on this blog. Please email me if you would like to be on my intercessors email list.
I was fully funded for my entire 5 years in Bangkok (Praise God, and thank you faithful donors!). However, now that I am in the States I need to increase my budget to fund my position working in the LA-area with Servant Partners.
My new role will involve:
- Helping to prepare and train future missionaries to the urban poor before they leave for the field
- Administrative assistance for our executive director
- Roles within the communications department such as editing our bi-monthly international staff newsletter
- Community organizing work alongside a church ministering in Pomona, a lower-income part of east LA County
I will continue to depend on a team of supporters for this new role, which I see as still very involved in missions– within the Latino community of Pomona and in the preparation of new missionaries for our international sites. My cost of living has increased significantly being in the States. I currently have about $1,100 per month in pledges for living and ministry expenses, as well as administrative overhead. My new target budget is $2,665 per month. Please prayerfully consider supporting this new work, and being a part of what God is doing among the urban poor!
