I ran into one of the loans at Kiva.org that you had subscribed to and mentioned it to Jenn. Then I thought I would catch up on her blog which had a comment from you with your old blog link. Your old blog referred me here and lo and behold, your posting is about Kiva.org who are doing an excellent job of putting money where our mouths (sometimes) are, consciousness raising with a payoff. We have tried to keep up with your work and are glad you have had a chance to be home and at Urbana. Your support base is broader than you imagine! I hope you are enjoying your time back in the States. :) I have a friend who lives in NongKhai and has a website that does many things to benefit the Thais, as well as Nepalese. It's called http://www.isara.org Basically, you use isara as your homepage to do searches and 100% of the revenue generated by your searches goes to help Thais. I strongly suggest reading the 'about' page. Although as a nonprofit, the website doesn't subscribe to a strictly Christian doctrine, as a follower of Christ, I believe we are to help our neighbors, whether that neighbor lives next door to me in the southern United States, or half way around the world.
